The parade will start with the firing of the 4th Artillery Porter’s 9th Company battalion field gun. On parade day, make sure to check-in at the corner of W. State St. and N. Shiawassee St. or the corner of W. State St. and S. Norton St. and you will be shown to your spot. The parade starts at 11 a.m. at the corner of N. Shiawassee St. and W. State St., in downtown Corunna, next to the Shiawassee Street School. Line-up starts at 9:00 a.m. You must have your entry in place by 10:00 a.m. to be eligible for a trophy.
From State Street, north on Shiawassee St, west on Mack St, south on Norton St, and back to the start of the parade on State Street. No unit is allowed to stop during the parade or to slow the parade down in any way. All units must stay in the parade from start to finish. At W. State Street and S. Norton, all units must turn onto W. State and pull off to the side of the street to unload riders. If you do not need to unload, you may continue south on S. Norton St. to get back to a main street.
The theme for this year’s Fourth of July Celebration is “Celebrating 25 Years”, but you are welcome to decorate your entry any way you wish. Loud music is encouraged. There will be four trophies given for the “Best Decorated”, “Best Theme”, “Best Youth Group”, "Best Rookie", and a grand prize trophy “Best in Show” as judged by our parade Grand Marshalls.
